Will firmer Shocks fix this problem...

On rare occasions, (turning onto an incline at an angle) my new tires rub the inner lip of my back feneder wells....Will a stiffer shock take care of this problem.........I don't want to slit and fold my inner lip if I don't have to. Thanks in advance.

i would say no it will not. That pretty much happens to us all. When i had a 1990 cougar when i would do that my car wouldn't go forward because it didnt have a posi and one tire would literally come off the ground. It maybe helped a little if you stiffened up your chassis with subframe connectors or even when to a stiffer spring. or taller spring.

I had to put cheap spring spacers in because it got to the point the the lip slit (and exploded) one of my Pirellis. It hasn't rubbed since, but eventually I want to fix it correctly because I don't like those spacers.

Have you checked the movement of the rear axle? Ford's 4 link design does a piss pour job of locating the axle under cornering forces. When you load the axle, it can and will move.... start with some stiffer bushings in the rear first.

Not likely to solve the problem - shock simply damps the spring motion. More ride height, stiffer springs, trimming/'adjusting' the inner fender area or moving the tire slightly outwards are likely the solutions.

The permanent fix would be a panhard bar, a way around this is to move to solid/spherical UPPER control arm bushings. DO NOT use solid LCA as the torque boxes were never meant to handle the lateral loads and will crack.
