I can totally see you powdercoating all of the pulleys for the SC setup....

If you go with an aftermarket case and do a full rebuild I suggest having the entire thing powdercoated. Only cavat is the snout and rotor bearing plate must be disassembled.... not something I suggest you do yourself rotor timing is critical.
Yeah Steve, I'll send it off to be rebuilt. I want to have the rotors coated as well.

I was just going to paint the sc and other components of the engine after the various things have been done to them.

No new pictures today, just some information.

I dropped off the old drivetrain at the yard.

The yard owner says he'll pull the t-bird out if the sticks next tuesday. I talked to the mechanics as well.

Here's to hoping that I can have the engine in my garage by next weekend!:nice::shrug::banana:

P RO GR E S S. It's a thing! Man the piece of :poo: cars I could save if I had access to a frame machine. My brother has started a new job working for a local company that rehabs LOTS of houses. He sees all kinds of good stuff in people's yards in the hood. He told me he saw a yard with 2 old square body Broncos that are OVERGROWN, a 78 or 79 box top Fairmont and a 80 or 81 Turbo TransAm. I am going to work tomorrow and print him off some biz cards that say I would like to talk to you about the ____________ in your yard. I'll have to see what he can actually talk people into selling.

Nothing new here, just trying to wait patiently.......:fap:

I realize :worthlesb.

The yard owner says I'll be able to pick up the sc engine this friday after work.......:chin. I want to believe him.....

Inactivity is killing me. I might go ahead and test out the defroster on the rear glass for entertainment. I have to resolder the power wire to the window. I yanked on it thinking it was a plug in when I removed the glass. Guess what, it's not plugged in at the glass. DUH-ERR! It may need repairing, don't know, I will find out.

For a picture, here's my cute little M90 with the intake tubes off.

My rear defrost is busted too. Did the same thing.

I keep looking for a new window locally but when I ask if they know of the defrost works I get "Who cares? $100"

I care
I'm going to take my multimeter to work and find out where, if any, cut spots are. Oreilly's sells a little patch kit for defrosters, i'll use that to fix any issues.

Well buddy, my car is almost ready to fire, but I have no cat back exhaust, no insurance on it, the silver lower portion of the car is only half painted (other half still taped, lol), and I am literally OUT of funds to finish it up this fall/winter. I am going to fire it and set the timing and idle, but thats probably it, so I kinda feel your pain. I'll just be looking at it for a while.

I’m actually doing better on the income nowadays Nick. It was a year long slow down at work, but things are getting marginally better now. I can’t throw $500 a check at the car yet, but a couple hundred is still nice.

So I’ll get to do stuff, I just have to wait to get the engine home. That’s my waiting game at the moment.

Plus we’ll have nice weather in the mid 70’s this weekend too!
Complete garage time, except for one thing.

Of course this Saturday I’ll have to watch the OU-OSU football game (Bedlam). So I might be a little intoxicated in the afternoon. Maybe I’ll work on the engine after that. Drunk and disassembly isn’t too bad, just not drunk and reassembly:eek:.

You're probably pulling for the pokes, right?

He also said I can have the sc seats for $25 each! I’ll probably give him $50 each though. I feel like I would be stealing from him for that amount.
You did give him $100 bucks or so in scrap (old engine) maybe just take his generous offer for $50 seats :-)
Not like you won't be back to his yard for more stuff lol
