Guess you could left all of that crotchedy shock tower, rear steer stock sht up front too, if other people were going fast with 60 year old front
suspension sht.
But you didnt...
The only reason these guys are changing the front ends of those cars are to accept a block larger than a 289.and to give them options for newer front end tech.
( Clearly, not your situation)
So,..if not to take advantage of the adjustability, and the potential for future changes, why do all of that up front, when you dont need the space, and on the same page, plan for a non adjustable leaf spring/mini tub, when its so much easier to just cut it away, and put a big assed tire in a Jegster backhalf suspended by a set of coil overs and held in place with a pair of ladder bars?
