1988 turbo 331 TW heads mspnp2

Thanks, Steve. It's loud in my neighborhood. I don't even feel comfortable starting it after dark. It does sound good to me though. Today it brought a few car filters around here out with their cars. A guy in the next court has 2014 mustang..... he had to ride past and whop his exhaust infront of my house today. That thing sounds like marbles in a Budweiser can.

Actually ..I posted to the wrong thread.... thought it posted to my build thread. Haven't had a chance to load the tune yet. I saw the differences in WUE and a couple other things. It should be amazing. I'll post as soon as I get it running.

This tune toned the car down a lot. I only have 8 in. hg at idle but I've learned that that is normal. They recommend a vacuum pump for street cars. A bunch of people get away with not having one. Interweb search showed most people with no brake issues were running 1-1.1k idle putting them at about 12 in. hg. I'm going to get a 12v power brake vacuum pump. My pedal feels OK the first push but after that I can feel the assist fading ( pedal gets tighter ).

The log started late. I was in the middle of recording video....and....well...forgot until the car was almost all the way warmed up. Heres the log, tune, and video...

The next video will be better...I was rushing and had to cut the grass before dark or I woulda been in troooouble !

Got a chance to log the car cold with the dusty1.0.2 tune. At one point I blipped the throttle to 4900 to clear it out a bit.lol Then I held it steady for a while around 2k. Looks really good to me...but what do I know. The vacuum comes up to about 17in off idle. If its dry next weekend I'll pull it out and log a drive. This neighborhood is way better for that....no curbs. It would be amazing to get the idle to about 800rpm. I don't know if that will cause a stumble while driving.

Things are getting better, now I will try to lower the idle speed some more, However, if the idle begins to surge I will need to tune it live.

Ok. I figured as much. Just let me know. Wish I knew more about this stuff. I'm learning little by little... but jeeesh is been 2 years.

Ok. As soon as I get home tomorrow I'll try one out. This is going to take a couple days. The car won't cool down fast enough to log two logs in one week day. I never start this thing after dark. My new community is so quiet during the week.

Ok...I'll log it when I get home. Remember my first logs ? They were full of revs and throttle blips. No wonder I had no idea what i was looking at. The driving logs were just as bad...absolutely no steady rpms.

Lesson to anyone reading this. Legible logs get legible results.
