Drivers Ed.
Since High school ended early this year and all the summer vacation plans are shot.
We got my son enrolled in Drivers Ed this summer.
It is only 30 hrs of class time, but they want a notarized note from me saying he has completed 40 hrs driving with an licensed adult in the car.
He said everyone cheats on that.
I said you need to learn more integrity and you will drive every darn minute of that requirement with me or your mother.
So..
Today we drove out to the NorthWest corner of island by way of the west side.
Passing Makaha Beach and next you can see the North west corner of island.
But alas, Yokohama Beach park is still closed and we couldn't get to end of the paved road.
Almost an hour from home to here.
This has been the single longest drive in this car yet. at an hour and 55 minutes.
My butt was sore after an hour and a half, that seat feels to be 45 yrs old.
With the manifold exhaust leak, Tire rubbing, fan belt squeal, and brake clacking all fixed.
The Cobra is fairly quiet (embarrassingly so) and just purrs like a sewing machine.

From the picture of your son he's going to rule when he goes back to school next fall. That is if the schools are open.

He's already got a big head with his 'V8Mustang Cobra II 1970s Love machine'
I been telling him how much 50 and 60 yr old gals really love this car...
He hates that story
We might need surf racks now though....

These cars are anything but "love machines" lol ...If you can manage to comfortably get any love within the cramped confines of a II you are a far better contortionist than I.....

he don't want to talk about the gal thats NOT his girlfriend to me,
but she is cute

When my kids were young they saw this picture and said Dad you look like a girl.
From that moment on I was never cool again
just a parent
Yesterday getting ready for my traditional birthday ride around.
She needs a redo but still hauls ass.
The burned out glass pac exhaust is really loud. Setting off car alarms loud.
Last months new neighbors came running outside to see what was going on and the people next to them ride some loud Harleys regularly.
We always laugh about how my car is louder than there bikes. Its new turbomuffs are in the garage waiting (4yrs).
When my kids were young they saw this picture and said Dad you look like a girl.
From that moment on I was never cool again
just a parent
