I built this car 20 years ago with intentions to auto cross but I paused it to start a family.
302 bored 0.040 over Kieth Black pistons,
Ported Twisted wedge heads and Cobra intake, 24lb injectors, ECM Chip
E303 Cam, electric water pump, dual fans (needs to be finished) MSD 6AL ignition
Stainless Exhaust, Bassanni X pipe, Borla mufflers, NEW (2017) Aluminum Radiator and hoses including heater core.

Viper spec T-56 Bought NEW from D and D performance (AOD conversion)
Pro 5.0 short through shifter and Steeda Clutch Quadrant
DynoTech aluminum driveshaft

Rebuilt 8.8 with 4.10 gears and over stack clutch pack to compensate for break-in.
Moser axles and Trick flow cover

SN95 spindles 5Lug conversion with rear Discs

Everything available from Maximum motorsports in 2002 that fit this car.
Tubular K member, front and rear control arms, panhard rod and torque arm. Caster camber plates, Flaming River solid steering U joint, Coil over adjustable Bilsteins front and rear.
Frame rail connectors and roll bar with removable door bars.

Cervinni Cobra R Fiberglass hood and trunk lid (never installed)

It will not pass NY state inspection as is.
The following items “fell off” the car after it was inspected; smog equipment, cats, tail pipes, and seatbelts. The airbag light is on.
I haven’t finished the conversion so the reverse lights and parking brake also need to be completed (parts included)

Over 100,000 miles on the body but less than 5,000 on the modifications above. Over $20k invested. Asking $10k, 9 days remaining on eBay auction with NO RESERVE starting at $8k. My reserve was 10k last week and I had offers for almost that. It WILL sell this time.

Hi Sorry! I’m just getting this message now. I thought the ad ran out. First gear IS sweet! I think it is the 2.95. That sounds familiar. I’ll have to check. It’s perfect. I’ve heard the 4.10’s were too much for 1st in the T5, some just start in 2nd. 1st gear in this car is awesome. Credit is due to the suspension for controlling the wheel spin. It’s a neck bender but still very useable and it has two overdrives as well. It is great on the highway. If I remember correctly, 5th gear at 65 is around 2,800? And 75 in 6th gear about 3,100? It’s been a while since I’ve driven it. I still have it. I let the ad run out over Christmas and I’ve been too busy to list it again.

I wonder what 4.56 Rear Gears would be like?

Hello again, I found my notes on the T56. I was wrong about first gear.

Transmission

D&D Performance T-56 6-speed transmission (“Dodge Viper” spec)
Ratios; 1st 2.66 / 2nd 1.78 / 3rd 1.30 / 4th 1.00 / 5th 0.74 / 6th 0.50
McLeod clutch & Billet flywheel
Pro 5.0 short throw shifter, Steeda clutch quadrant
Custom aluminum driveshaft (from D&D T-56 Kit)
D&D cross-member

Personally, I wouldn’t change the ratio. 2.66 and 4.10 feel like a perfect match to me. I planned to get a Blowzilla but after I drove it for the first time, I changed my mind. It absolutely launches. It’s right on the balance of traction and tire shredding. You absolutely can rip tires if you want but, you can also hook up like Velcro if you prefer. I think steeper gears or a supercharger would be overkill and rob you of that control. Yes, there are a lot of higher HP combos out there with turbos, superchargers and nitrous but this car is all motor, no lag, (almost) predictable power and anyone that’s been in it thought it had one of the above or a big block transplant. I’ve had to open the hood numerous times to prove otherwise. I owe it to this gearing combo (and the suspension). There’d be room for more gearing if you’re running wider tires or slicks on the track. My plan was to build this as an awesome street car and auto cross on weekends. Life took over. Now it’s an auto cross car that goes around the block 2-3 times a year.

I have this gear pattern in my T56 and had 4.10s. The trans really tames the gears. To put it in perspective, this setup would be equivalent in 1st to a T5 with 3.27 gears. In final overdrive, you'd need 3.08s with a T5 to get close.

I ended up dropping to 3.73s when I pulled the rear apart to install my eaton Truetrac, but I had other reasons. I wanted to be able to autocross without ever going to 3rd, and I liked the idea of having a supercruiser on the highway. 80mph is just over 2k RPMs. This crushes the drone & I've pulled 24mpg, but it will do more.

BTW GLWS. I have too much going on in my life again, and my hands are already too full with my car projects; but I actually contemplated making you an offer. The rust means work, but the parts justify the aaking price. I know what it takes to build the motor, suspensions, trans swap, 5-lug swap, etc...
