X3 skip the inj. They don't "add" power. They only support a certain horsepower level(about 50 or so more than you're making) and will just make your car run rich/ lead to problems. If you're adding more parts like cam/heads,etc then you can add the inj and a matching MAF
^^^ that's a good starting point. I don't know the rest of your cars modifications and or your plans for the car. A great bang for the buck in performance is a set of rear gears(if yours are stock). For a manual most like 3.55/3.73-automatic 3.73 or 4.10's. Error on the smaller side if you drive the car a lot on the highway.
unless you enjoy swapping out intakes, i wouldn't bother with an intake swap with stock heads and a cam. Maybe worth 10-15 hp. Same for shorty headers on a stock motor- maybe 10hp if that, MAC headers are very low quality and the individual flanges lead to leaks and warping.
Save up for a good set of TFS or AFR heads, a good cam, and then do the H/C/I swap at once.
I agree with most of what people are saying. If you have a small budget then you should go ahead and install the "cobra" intake. 10-15 hp is something you CAN feel in my opinion. That along with a cold air intake, good headers, off-road h/x pipe and cat back exhaust along with gears really wake these cars up! Even with the recommended heads, cam, and intake you'll still need the above mentioned exhaust and gears to compliment it. It costs thousands to go fast.
