Im just about to purchase a Trick Flow StreetHeat HCI. i have stock headers on right now crapola and i figure since im taking them off i might as well replace them with new ones. Ive heard good about the BBK name, but ive been looking at some Edel's- but i havent heard much about them. any advice would be awesome.

Haven't used the Edelbrock headers on a Mustang. But I had them on my old F-body. They were really nice pieces with think flanges and no fitment issues noted.
I didn't know that Edelbrock made headers for the Fox... eitherway very good brand and quality.

imo bbk headers look fine, and work great. Some have bad luck with them, but overall the response to bbk is very, very good. For the price, can't go wrong. These are an identical set to those just installed on my buddies car, no installation issues, no leaking, and they work very well.
fyi, I run the ford racing ceramic coated shorties. They look even better and are very very nice for just a little more.

I have never had problems with Mac headers...I actually like them. The problem is the individual flanges move around after the headers get hot and installing a used set can be challenging. However the individual flanges seal better. The biggest complaint about Mac stuff is the crap HTS coating they put on their cheaper stuff. That's generally why people whine about Mac stuff. I've used the BBK shorties and those are nice. They go on really easy. The Edelbrock name is good enough for me to trust everything they make. The finish on edelbrock products is always top notch. If all you are looking for is a shorty style header you can't go wrong with any of them. Just don't cheap out and buy a header with a cheapie coating. The FMS stainless ones are good too. Anything from Ford is generally as good as it gets and you can't go wrong with stainless.

I've had BBK LT's on mine (daily driven)for about 3 years now... no problems... make a healthy rasp with my ported TW heads hee hee...

There welds are kinda messy, I just took a die grinder and cleaned them up........but overall I am very impressed......for $300 canadian, I couldn't go wrong

My advice would be to go here and read as much as you can before you make a header decision. It'll take some patience and time -- but you'll make a much better headers decision if you educate yourself about header fundamentals before you make a choice.

I don't know anything about the edels but I am choosing the BBK's over MAC b/c of the flange issue.

....and long tubes are the only way to go if they're available for your car. I have a challenge with that -- but they're available for yours.
