injector size

I have an 89 lx 5 speed. I have to get it to pass emissions so I'm removing the x cam and installing an e cam. It has a cobra intake, 185 AFR's, 70mm t-body, 73mm c&l mass. All the other emissions junk is there.
My questions are:

1) should I use 24 or 19 injectors (I have both)?

2)Also how do you tell by looking at the mass what injectors it is sized to?

3) I noticed there is a small hole (bleed hole?) toward the top of the lifter. I read somewhere this hole should point a certain direction. Anyone recall which direction and why?

Again the goal is to pass emissions not power. Thanks

I would use what ever injector you need to support your hp. If your tune is right and your a/f is where it needs to be, I don't see how injector size will effect it. Do a search on the boards. I've seen this topic a time or two for tricks to pass.. seems they were dropping timing and doing different tricks to help out.

Most of the C&L tubes will have some color marked on one end. If it's not there you may want to call C&L, I'm sure they could give you a way to measure it?

The lifter on OEM can go either way. I've been told there is an oil band in the middle so it gets oil pressure regardless of which way you have it facing.

i would use he 24's with the afr 185's but i dont know about the maf tho.
