We started it on Thursday night and took it to the track today! I literally worked yesterday from 8 in the morning till midnight finishing all the wiring, steering, bulkhead etc but got it done. Had to load the car on the trailer at 9 so as not to make my neighbours hate me more than they already do and did an alignment, and an oil change while it was on the trailer! I must be nuts.
I picked the busiest time of the year to go, made 4 passes. With very little tuning, I took it easy on the first pass I coasted to a 12.5 after some serious tire shake. Forgot that drag radials are opposite of slicks they like air pressure.
Bumped them up to 19psi and ran a granny run of 11.0 shifting at 5200. I then launched it a little harder, shifted at 5500 and ran a 10.79 @ 123.
Opened her up a bit more last run and went 10.69 @ 125 with a 1.47 60ft! I think I like the change to radials!
Car has more in it, it's heavier in the front so I need to work on tweaking the suspension and need an anti-roll bar bad, its got a lot more torque off the line. The thing is stiff, I have solid everything but it still wants to twist bad. It barely cracked 5900 through the traps compared to my last motor that would spin to about 6400 so if I keep the revs down it should last. I think it should have a 10-10.30 N/A if I do some more tuning.
Unfortunately no vids or pics, my camera girl decided to race too! I will try to make one more event and hopefully shoot some action.
Thanks for all the comments, I honsetly didn't care what I ran, it was an accomplishment just getting the car done to get it there, and have fun. Which I did.
