I take a old T shirt and slide it over the top of the seat and use a towel to sit on, I wear levis and they are rough on seat covers, the towel over the seat bottoms saves a ton of wear and tear.
@Mustang5L5,
How tall are you and how much room do you have between your head and the head liner with the Recaro's? Reason I ask is I have Corbeau TRS seats in my Coupe and they sit a little high for me even with the 1" shaved foam base. I am 6'-1 and with the shaved base I really thought they would sit lower but the old '86 GT seats that I had in it before these sat lower.
#1: Seat covers... Just protect 'em and carry on?
#2: Give me a heads up if you end up deciding to list. Would love to put 'em in Black Jack.
What brackets did you use? I used the wedge and they don't seem as high as yours. And I can move bolts around to change the angle.
If you're willing to spend a little extra, why not just re-cover the Recaros with more durable material?
Can you make the bolstering smaller, or is there structure in there?It’s not just the material. It’s the bolstering. It’s just too darn aggressive for me. Don’t get me wrong, the seats are comfortable as hell once you are sitting in them, but climbing in and out gets old.

I saw that on ebay...it looked kinda shady...
