Sweet! I like the rides. I follow 84TTOP thread, sweet car I know.

And nice pic of "spark plugs and wings" appropriate.

I wonder how much those guys get paid doing that show... Cuz they are putting a lot of money in those cars for such small bets on tv. Sometimes I have seen several thousand dollar bets but usually they are not enough to buy a tire.

Very very few people(if any) "make" money drag racing. More like they just use the money to cover some of their expenses.

I watched LO7 from Wednesday to Sunday on the live stream. I'm excited to watch at Memphis but I won't be missing lights out in person next year.
Really wanting to follow some of the classes more closely.

Sponsors sponsors sponsors(there's a reason they all wear swag)...and they have deep pockets,,etc. I also think Big Chiefs family had a little bit of money(I heard rumors) but that is speculation more than fact. Ok back to the thread...sorry

heres a few tips that i learned the hard way the last time i put my tko in::

use two long pieces of all-thread in the bell to line up the trans (bottom holes work best, i started with all 4, but it really just needs two)

do NOT use the trans-to-bell bolts to draw it in, the ears can (and will, been there done that) break off

an extra slip yoke on the output helps with lining the input splines up

Yeah unlike the t 5 I don't have an extra yoke anymore . I didn't install it on the drive shaft at that point just for that reason . When I Installed it the first time it took A few tries but went right in . This week I'll mess with it again
