What is the relay board doing for the fans? @TOOLOW91
Makes it so the current isn't running through the fan controller . Eventually this winter when I put my fast xfi in I'm deleting the fan controller and the ecu will control it .

What fan controller are you using? I think you said the fans don't draw very many amps at start up and continuous run. Based on that I wired my Contour fans straight through my FAL controller that has a 60% power up and slowly ramps up to 100%. FAL says their controllers can handle up to a 40amp start up draw. I thought I'd throw this out there for @stangboy as an option. The FAL also turns the fans on for 30 seconds after you turn the ignition off. If the FAL controller didn't have the "soft start" I would've ran a relay to help with the sudden surge of power being drawn.

The Flexalite controller for the BM extreme 185 . And I did the relays for if and when the ac makes it back on the car to also add a condenser fan the wiring is there .

I have a Mark VIII fan and it has a pretty hefty amp draw at startup. i just have a large inline fuse right now but I'd rather use a relay.

Definitley need a heavy duty relay with that fan . They are known to burn :poo: up without them

I can't even begin to describe what a night this was . Sat in traffic pissed on the way thinking it was a bad idea to go . 90 degrees , 50 percent humidity. Air was just :poo: . Get there tech - let the car cool off for maybe 20 min . Adjust the shocks and struts . Air down to 17-18 psi .

Make the first pass I do a burn out I'm in a complete rush so I slap the limiter which I had upped to 7400 the night before .

Go to launch making a solo pass and let it go right around 6800 ish I would guess . Felt like it just hooked and was gone . I felt it pull the tire a hair . Shifted the :poo: out of it . Hit the stripe and literally f u c kin screamed cuz I knew I did it . Got the slip and went nuts .

Made two more passes but they sucked . Second pass guy stopped me under the tower told me to slow it down and **** my head up . Burn out wasn't long enough . I slipped off the shifter going into 4th and never went in . It was a :poo: show

Kris had me put a little more power in it too over the phone . Next run did the burn out left and didn't slip it enough . It spun . I shut it down at 660 ft and called it a night . I got what I wanted . Was 3490 with me in it . So 3290 with tools and the stereo including the sub all in the car .

I have so many to thank . Nick @84Ttop being one of the top guys for all the advice , help , and sincere friendship . Same goes for @93TRANSAM - couldn't have done it without you working the magic on the tuning , all your advice and of course sincere friendship .

My engine builder , all my close friends - Paul , Andrew , Scottie etc who lent a hand here and hand there when I needed it in the garage to do certain things . Everyone on this board who's ever helped and followed the progress . Really it means the world to me .

Today my dad would've been 50 . He's gone 17 years . So there wasn't a better day this could've happened on .
