Just cuz it looks anemic doesn't mean it has to run that way. Hell, I was trying to keep mine 100% factory looking from the outside, but I lost that fight. I say you keep it subdued looking and beat up on the unsuspecting bullies.
I agree but I liked the aggressiveness of the way it looked and I just don't feel it has it anymore .

Powder coat them?
Powder coat them?
Oh hell no . I'm a chrome guy . Maybe they just need more time to sit with me thats all.
I think they look great. Back in the 90s everyone had pony wheels and wanted them, then they became throwaway wheels when 5lug swaps took off. Almost seems like you never see them, so seeing the 17" versions looks very clean.
To be honest, I loved the Saleen SC rim until the aftermarket copied it. Then everyone had them.
I dig the look

I've never been huge fan of pony wheels but the R look good on some cars. I personally liked the SC wheels better on your car. I guess it's because I really like the SC wheels and plan to get a silver set for my car some day. That deep dish just says "I'm not to be played with, buddy". But no one can deny how clean your car is even with the Pony Rs on it. It's absolutely beautiful...AND will embarrass most unsuspecting camaros, vettes, hellcats.
So Jeff, i have to admit something, I still wake in the middle of the night sweating with this picture flashing through my mind

Funny thing is that was a few months after hurricane sandy. It was a chilly day i was driving home from work and the sunset happened to be perfect. I stopped down by the beach by my apartment and snapped a bunch of pics of the car. This happens to still be one of my favorites Dave .
Times were much simpler - Maaco paint, Shorty headers, x pipe, flow masters, 3.55s, Eibach springs , Tockico Blues , and 5 speed conversion. Car still had red interior here.
Thanks bro !!! I just cant decide some days if i am in love with them i guess. I really need to give it more time.I've never been huge fan of pony wheels but the R look good on some cars. Thanks bro. On the flip flop side of how i feel about them - you hit the main points. I remember growing up and every fox had chrome ponys or welds as a kid.
Stupid speed sensor won't stop dropping from the speedo cable . Assy is new and so is the damn o ring where the cable sits.
Next time we revisit this we'll be going from a 6.7 lower to a 8 inch lower .
Hey Jeff, I've got a couple questions about your setup.
First, what octane rating is your fuel?
Would an intercooler be a beneficial thing for what you have?
I really don't know a lot about this other than cooler intake temperatures are a good thing with forced induction. What's the breaking point where it's really needed?
These are honest questions, I don't know. I would like to learn because I know this mod will one day be in my future.

This is on straight 93 pump gas . Of course an intercooler would absolutely benefit . Vortech does not make this a bolt on affair for the fox as they never did. Eventually one day I'd like to build an air to air . But it isnt needed as I've never had one .
When you really start to spin the blower hard say past 17-20 psi you'd really want good fuel or a intercooler . It will keep the likeliness of detonation down and the inlet temps much cooler . I'd like to see 15-17 psi eventually the way it sits though .
See there, I didn't know it could be pushed that far. This is on straight 93 pump gas . Of course an intercooler would absolutely benefit . As always, frickin' beautiful car brother. Plus badass!
How much boost are you seeing now? Just curious. This is on straight 93 pump gas . Of course an intercooler would absolutely benefit . 13 psi same as the s trim . The step up ratios of both blowers are the same . But the efficiency netted us another 46 peak at the tire on just a blower change .How much boost are you seeing now? Just curious.
Placed an order to summit for all the right couplers and clamps to replace my temp setup to get the blower on .
Also placed an order with ASP for a non underdrive 8 inch lower crank pulley so I can make all the boost
