Love it! Rebuilding my 8.8 was probably the most enjoyable/satisfying part of my Fox journey so far. Looking forward to watching this one come together!!

My original that’s in the car I did 12 years ago

Only thing I did about 3 years in was throw a brand new 31 spline carrier in it and later on moser 5 lug axles.

On the original build I welded the Axle tubes. The rear has been sub 1.2x 60s and seen a lot of abuse and been a rock.

Hope so one day , I’m sure I’m going to run Into the factory bar angles but I think it’ll go sub 1.20 60 foot before it really maxes the stock angles out

Will it still be a street car when that happens (maxing out the stock angles)?

Well stock angles for it to still want to work at that power level to 60 foot any faster then 1.20 is what I meant

Always a street car

@ TOOLOW91
Going to put any bracing on the axle?
Sub 1.20's is pretty stout.
What is meant by "factory bar angles"?
Have not heard that terminology before, and I have a car that has gone 1.28 60' with the 8.8"

Tubes are welded , can’t brace the axle as it gets in the way of the anti roll I have and also the 3 inch tail pipes.

Adjustable tq boxes and mounts on the rear allow you of course move the factory control arms out of the factory resting and fully extended angles.

Just slang for control arm angle to help get the rear to extend more depending on what you’re doing.

Cars been down since April . Changed the oil found a c clip in it which led me to finding it was a c clip from the plunger of my morel short travel lifters.

This is semi my fault as there was some miscommunication between me and the engine builder. The engine was set up as if it were a low lash solid roller when it reality it should’ve just been setup as a hydraulic at zero lash plus a touch of preload. 5 years I haven’t ever checked the lash so I’m thinking this played a part.

So I grabbed a fresh set of head gaskets and some new Johnson short travel lifters for it and it’s almost back together. It’s also getting some new jewelry. Trick flow r intake ported by tom moss.

OK.
Mine is braced in front. From the outer part of the tube on each side to the pinion flange. Uses the bolt holes that would normally hold the "dogbone" damper at the front of the pinion.
I also use the Baseline Suspensions Pro kit for getting multiple upper control arm location points. Works real well.
It all clears the ARB

I’m familiar with it. The way the 3 inch tails swoop up there is no space I’d have to go under the rear to have the brace fit.

For what I’m doing I think it’ll be ok the car will only see the track 2-6 times a year tops.
