so I am sure this may have been part of the tps dropping out and apparently either the nut backed off or the fox pulley I had was over spinning it because now with the vortech we are back to regular pulleys so now I am getting. a new one maybe Monday I'll throw it in I don't even want to look at the car right now I knew i smelt something I kept checking and I finally got under the car

Hey bud sorry this week turned out to be madness lol Was jammed up finishing a couple big projects that I wanted to button up by end of week- We should be good for this week coming up to get you dialed in give me a shout monday@11 and well lock it all in , thanks for your patience I owe ya a taco when ya come!

That alt looks like a loose connection or the wire is too small gauge, dont sweat it luckily nothing major just replace with good 8 gauge minimum (4gauge even better and what I would run) and make sure nut is tight (and not stripped on the inside and freespinning in the case)

thanks brother I feel it backed out as well it's a 4ga with a big fuse in it that I bought as a kit over a year ago it was in the car for a while with no issues before - I have the alt I just need to tear it down and swap it .

I totally know how frustrating things like this can be Jeff, trust me. The one thing to remember is that this is supposed to be fun! Just a small bump in the road and you are right there ready to really start enjoying this car to the fullest!

well boys the alt is in with the right size water pump pulley . instead of playing games with belts I measured this one out and got a belt for it I have to just change the terminal on the alt wire and blower belt back on and well be up and running I think should be later today if not tomorrow .

So I crimped a new end on the alt took the car out and had the tps flip out again . upon further investigation I find that the aluminum stripped out and it's the TPS is walking around on the tb so that explains it . I swapped the ring off my old 70mm bbk and no more issue .

pretty humid out so far the car hasn't seen anything over 190 with the new pulley on it
