So we ran into a problem, haven't fired the motor yet because it isn't oiling through the push rods to the rockers .
Pulled it apart thinking I got a cam bearings wrong and happend to look at a lifter and noticed there is no hole in the lifter puck for oiling the rockers . Pulled it apart for nothing! It has 60 pounds pressure now but no oil to the rockers, is this a f'd up batch of lifters or are they for some other application? We are running a 280h comp cam ,never seen this before!

Ok people ,check those cam kits when you get them ,turns out the cam is a comp cam 280 h for small block ford ,but ,the lifters were for a 390 ford. 390s oil through the rocker shafts ,small block fords oil through the push rods so the 390 lifters are not drilled for oiling through the top .
New lifters came in today ,loaded them in and didn't even adjust the valves yet and we have 60 pounds pressure and oil out the top of the rockers just the way it is supposed to be. Going to prime the crap out of it before we fire it to make sure is is wet before it ever starts .
