Only In Oklahoma

Last night we got 1/2" of snow. Today the schools are closed. When i was a boy it could snow 18" and we would have to hop on one foot, with no shoes, uphill both ways to school along a steel spike imbedded dirt trail through the thorn bushes. But we still had to go to school.

Kids these days....nothing to build character.....

No snow here, but it is 25 degrees. My son is about to walk out the door to go to work. Better him than me. I believe I'll have more coffee.

It's 16 here,...only to get to 29. Dealership is still closed,...not scheduled to try to re-open till noon,...and I'm gonna tell ya,...

I don't see this changing by then.

Birmingham has no road crews, they certainly have no salt trucks. I know they sand bridges, but that will be main roads only. What the pic doesn't show, is the steep uphill grade beyond just to get to a secondary road. I'm not thinkin that'll happen in mikes mini today.

Try doing donuts in the streets. You'll feel better. Ya'll don't know what to do with snow days down there? o_O
Roads blocked by 18 wheelers that are stacked up...I grew up in the midwest.. I drove in the snow and ice. There was always some big assed dump truck on the roads dumping either sand or salt right along with me. That ain't happenin' here today.

I'm sitting by myself, sowing a zipper on a fox seat cover, drinking a beer. This is Nirvana!:nice:

Were you honestly expecting something different from me?

I knew you can sew a zipper, did not know you could sow a zipper...even with a beer lol. And I would never consider Nirvana and sewing as being in the same sentence. :p
Yep, misspelled sew, thank you.

Let's just say a type of Nirvana then. I'm working on my car (kind of), sipping a good beer, and no one is bothering me with what they want me to do yet.

I'm sitting here unable to do anything...Can't go anywhere because we're trapped.

I can do the following:

I could wetsand the rest of the car.
But I got no compound to buff it.:nono:

I could build the other side plate for the dash.
But that means I'm cutting, grinding and welding in the same room that the car is in.:nono:

I could attempt to find out why one of my dedicated outputs went dead, and try to re-enable it to cycle the water pump on/off so I can control the fact that my engine gets colder as it runs when air is moving through the radiator.
But that may be something that turns out to be unnecessary when it gets warmer, effectively meaning that the W/P stays on all the time anyway ultimately meaning that I wasted my time. :nono:

I could clean the garage.......
