Now I'm at the point of taking the cam back out and washing the block again, as much as I tried to prevent it, there are metal shavings everywhere.

I never would have thought that oven cleaner would work so well cleaning out the intakes. Damn near spotless. I'm definitely keeping a can of that around.

Upper and lower intakes are freshly painted. Ford red and Ford gray.

I still need to clean, prep and paint the heads. Will happen throughout the week.
Heads will be red also.

That red is strangely similar to chebby orange. Ugh!

I haven't decided on that yet, All depends on what covers I end up with.

yeah, I used that on my explorer lower, and my stock oil pan to remove all the tarnish... works great... BUT make sure you don't leave it on long on the Alum, and wash it really good, I heard it will eat it...

That engine needs some green on it I think.......
