Rebuild Help 91' Gt

Ok so I'm confused and not sure what to do or what's my best options. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. So I'm rebuilding my 91 gt. Here's the parts I have to do the rebuild so far:
Msd distributor
Msd 6a ignition box
Msd ignitionbox conector
Ford racing gears 3.73
Speedo gear
Speedometer cable
E303 cam
Bbk blackout cai
Bbk 70mm throttlebody
Bbk 70mm spacer
Bbk maf 70mm 24lbs
24lbs fr injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Gt40 upper and lower intake ported
Ford racing valve covers
Hydraulic lifters
Oil pump
Trick flow spring kit
Timing chain
Pushrods

So if I bore it out .30 over is it really worth it?
I will be buying Afr heads on lmr there are 2 kinds what do I go with?(165cc or 185cc)
Roller rockers what do I get? Pedestal or stud? Crane or Scorpion?

Thanks for the help

Choose the heads you want to buy. The rockers (stud vs pedestal) will be dictated by what the specific head you buy requires. Just a comment on your cam choice. If you have not bought the e cam yet you should consider a custom ground cam. They are not that much more than an off than the shelf cam but performance and idle characteristics of a custom cam are world's apart from an alphabet cam.

Unfortunately I live in California so I need to stay smog leagal. That's why I'm doing the e303. Plus I already have it.

An e cam isn't a bad thing at all though.

It's just the whole technology thing, cams are just better than ever now.

Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords had a whole build on a California smog legal fox build. Go online and search for that. It should at least give you some interesting ideas.

The E cam isn't bad. I had one for years and it worked well in my combo. The MSD distributor takes all the stock replacement internal parts. I also haven't had problems from my MSD distributors. In the past there was an issue with the MSD cap vent that would allow moisture to get inside causing spark problems. I just replaleced the pick up in one of mine after 15 years. My MSD 6al has been working perfectly for at least 15years...and about 100k miles. ( some say the new ones are junk- I'll find out with my 7al2 ).

I ran my E303 with a set of ported stock e7 heads with bigger valves 1.6 intake 2.02 exhaust. It pulled hard and played nice with my computer...no chip...24lb injectors and matching MAF.

I'm not negating the fact that our cars will run without MSD stuff....but if you have it use it. Nothing wrong with having a little more spark energy.

My advice below

what about gaskets- Felpro
HG Felpro 9333PTI
intake 1250S3
exhaust Percy or Mr Gasket ultra

Head bolts/studs- ARP
Balancer- Pioneer or Romac

Ok so I'm confused and not sure what to do or what's my best options. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. So I'm rebuilding my 91 gt. Here's the parts I have to do the rebuild so far:
Msd distributor- NO. use the stock distributor unless you enjoy being towed at some point
Msd 6a ignition box- not needed
Msd ignitionbox conector- not needed
Ford racing gears 3.73
Speedo gear
Speedometer cable
E303 cam- much better choices- TFS, comp cams, Anderson, Custom, you will lose all low end power and idle like crap
Bbk blackout cai
Bbk 70mm throttlebody
Bbk 70mm spacer
Bbk maf 70mm 24lbs
24lbs fr injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Gt40 upper and lower intake ported
Ford racing valve covers
Hydraulic lifters
Oil pump- do NOT get a high volume
Trick flow spring kit- what heads? AFR and TFS already come with decent springs that are more than enough for your build
Timing chain- do not get one with a cheap chinese chain. they stretch and are off
Pushrods- which ones. get hardened 1 piece from crane or comp cams and measuer for the proper length

So if I bore it out .30 over is it really worth it? NO- if you can get away with honing do it. boring out adds little hp and reduces strength and ability to absorb heat
I will be buying Afr heads on lmr there are 2 kinds what do I go with?(165cc or 185cc) 165 are more than enough and already come with good springs
Roller rockers what do I get? Pedestal or stud? Crane or Scorpion?- the heads will dictate 165's are pedestal mount, get Ford racing, or crane. NO scorpion

Thanks for the help

Thanks for all the input mikestang63, I'm having the mechanic do all the gaskets and bolts/studs.
You said the 165 are pedestal but the lmr rep said stud. I here alot of people liking scorpion rockers. What about harland? The rockers are the last thing I need to buy on my end i believe but I'm not sure on brand. On lmr the 165 the description says Rocker stud arms included. So I'm a summing that means it's studs?
This is my first time ever getting an engine rebuild my dad was the guy I went to about this stuff, he is no longer available. And I only have basic knowledge of engines. So any other input I may need is appreciated. I belive I need intake spacer for my intake to fit my injectors do I get a 3/8 or 1 inch?
