Well I’m glad I cleaned that harness up. Was able to tuck it in nicely. Still need to connect the tps and get a plug and connect the iac.

Got all the wiring done on the engine. I guess I’ve reached the point where I have to do the heater core.... I’ve watched a few videos and have a game plan. Hopefully I can get it pretty quickly and everything goes smoothly.

I did mine without splitting the box, I did a writeup in my build thread. basically dremeled and made a flap then used a bit of silicon and some ties to hold it shut

These guys did it by swinging the dash away and removing the lid. I’ll check out your write up too. Remember mines factory no a/c so it may be different.

I’m about an hour and a half tops into this. That’s getting tools together and inspecting and getting a game plan. Having some coffee and I’ll put it back together. So far not bad at all as long as I don’t have wires unplugged somewhere

On a factory no AC car I thought dash removal wasn't necessary?

Done. Not too bad of a job really. Console is still out because I’m gonna repaint it since it worn in spots. I did break one wire going to my cluster so I had to pull that and put a new butt connector on.

I painted the intake track I made last night. I used VHT wrinkle coat. It works well with one exception. You need uniform warm temps. Parts of it turned out great while others didn’t and with my garage being 60-63° I didn’t get overall good results. I’ll leave it for now and plan on refinishing in the summer when it’s warm and sunny out. I’ll post a picture tonight when I get home

You have a heat lamp? You can place the heat lamp above it (5ft or so) with it in a cardboard box to retain heat (think 3' box) let it warm up completely then paint it and close the box (shut the lamp off).. this is how I did them in 40* temps

I had it hanging in front of my garage heater. It’s not horrible but but you can definitely see it’s not even in spots. I’ll just live with it for now. My luck it’ll be worse if I try to do again plus that stuff make a huge mess. I’ll hang it in the sun this summer and spray it outside.

Here’s what it looks like. I also got my cobra booster so I get to crawl under the dash again.
