My first Mustang was a ‘94 GT, so I have a preference for them. Glad to someone is rescuing one.

I was young when I ruined my '95. It was a bone stock 62k mile car when I bought it, and I threw away the back seat, A/C, rear seat belts, dog bone, all smog equipment... Swapped the front seats for cheap "race seats," and tossed the center console as well. The interior didnt look bad, but was hardly functional for anyway but me driving. I wish I had it back in the shape it was in when I bought it. I did love that car.

Parts Safari continues, lots of boxes came in on July 5th.

First off my best friend sent me 3 boxes for my birthday and getting back into Mustangs so thanks Mike. He duped me, said he was just buying me the FRPP springs. He got me, you'll see in a future video. I'm still shocked!

The goal today was to install at least the rear FRPP 5300-C springs.

We dropped the lower control arm and found torn bushings on each side. These are obviously aftermarket control arms but the bushings are really soft rubber, like stock rubber. I can pick them apart with my finger nail they are so fragile.

So I'm at a stand still, I'm not putting in the new springs with these garbo bushings.

Ordering Prothane bushings from Summit now.

I hate when like that happens. When I lowered my wife’s car last weekend, a 2007, the front strut mounts came apart when I took out the struts. Luckily I found some replacements at NAPA right away.

Oh boy, I haven't even got to the front yet. Now I'm nervous to find more bootlip stuff. She's fighting us all the way but I'm not backing down, I will win.

Well I just took the driver side lower control arm off, the bushing is actually worse. Didn't think it was possible but there's the proof.

Now I'm basically forced to remove the upper controls arms, same red color / same brand and I'm sure the same bushings. I didn't plan for this and even though bushings are $22.00 each for Energy prothane I wanted to get tires for the Cobra R rims. Peeling back the layers on this onion are revealing some really bootlip stuff. I found something else major but need to confirm first.

On a cool note, my friend Joe stopped by with his 1969 Thunderbird. It just got 18x8.5 and 18x10 Eleanor rims with an aggressive offset, Nitto 275's up front and 295's rear. Also received front coil overs, a new huge sway bar, 3-core aluminum radiator, electric fan, Holley 850 Carb and rear suspension work. The stock motor is coming out and a 521 cubic inch motor is at the engine shop now getting Eagle crank and forged internals. I think it's getting AFR 305 heads or maybe 315's, I forget. Anyway, the engine builder says 750HP all day. I've never seen a 10 second Thunderbird (this style) in my life and I've been to a ton of drag racing events.

I had those same control arms on my car. They SUCK big ones!!!!! I replaced the bushings more that once in them before I just threw them in the scrap pile, and put on a set of UPR Extreme spherical bushing style.

That's where these are going but not right now, I have so many other things to do. Apparently these are the Summit house control Upper / Lower control arm set.

I just sent them an email concerning these along with the pictures above. The one bad review I saw on the Summit website was the same thing going on here, bad bushings.

I had Steeda adjustable on my Vibrant Red 94 and they were awesome. Lots of hard 1/4 launches, SCCA road events for 7 years and regular driving. I'll probably do these again since they were so good. My entire suspension was Steeda, well QA1 K-Member and Bilstein Struts & Shocks (which I bought from Steeda). They are local to me so I can go pick it up.

UPR is also local to me but I'll choose Steeda.

Working on the car last night, tore my right Rotator Cuff. Just got back from the Hospital. Now I have to go see an Orthopedic next week to see if the tear is big enough for surgery. Sad part is I tore my left side 2 years ago, tear isn't big enough for surgery. I couldn't move this morning, shoulder swollen, gave me two of the most painful shots in the buttox. I'm in bed with my laptop. Time of my life Ma!!!!

So not only did I go down with a torn rotator cuff but my son hurt his ankle.

A 200 Pound crate fell on his ankle. He's on crutches now.

Instead of working on the car we both were laying in my bed (we have the his / her adjustable bed) me with an ice neck brace and him with ice on his ankle while we watched the Indy car race. So sad. No work on the car since last Monday.
