Has anyone had any issues with the MOMO microsuede steering wheel? I believe it's model R1909_33S. I've heard suede can be tricky as far as how it wears. Also, 330 or 350 mm size?

What size, 330 or 350 mm, is that? And why did you chose that specific thickness?

I chose the 350mm to stay close to the size of the stock wheel.I thought the smaller size might look odd and block my view of the gauges.
I love the feel of the suede wheel in my hands.I've had plenty of DD with leather wheels, and unless they're perforated I find in short time they become way too slick.

Is this the wheel and hub you have? (minus this one being 320mm instead of 350) If so, I'm thinking I might go pick them up tomorrow and get a better wheel to match my new seats that I'm still waiting on the tracks for.

For those of you who bought a Cardone 22-2000 (SPR-ZM) steering rack, where did you get your? These seem hard to come by as most places require a core.

I got mine from advanced Auto parts, and simply returned the stock fox rack that was covered in grime and the guy didn't care... just said cool and gave me my core. HUGE upgrade in steering feel.

Did you purchase it online or do a local pickup? I called my local Advanced Auto Parts and they have a inventory of zero.

The only place that seems to have them in stock is Amazon at $440.

I just checked, seems the source of racks is drying up. Even eBay had none, which is strange.

Guess returning fox racks as cores leaves nothing able to be rebuilt

Alright, f it! I pulled the plug and bought the only remaining Cardone 20-2000 I could find online. Seems silly to do all this work to my car to retain sloppy steering. I can always return it through Amazon. Yes, I just justified the purchase twice in one paragraph.

Did you buy yours months/years ago? They don't seem to be available anymore unless you bought a non Cardone one. Do you have a part number or a screen shot. I'm not excited about dropping the $400+ on Amazon, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere else to buy one unless I pester all the Southeast Mustang salvage yards.

You don’t have to go all in with a 03/04 cobra rack. The 02-04 GT rack might be cheaper and almost as good

That's like saying buy the GT brakes rather than the '03-''04 Terminator brakes. I'll just grit my teeth and do it.

I also realize I can buy the NAPA version of the Cardone 20-2000, but my fear is that the quality control won't be there.

I think its in the flush and filter. My drain pan was full of metal. 30 years probably never changed. Lifetime garantee and it was fairly easy.

You undo the return hose at or under the radiator and pour a quart or two of Mercon into the pump . Turn the pump by hand and it runs all the old fluid and dirt out. Then add a P steering filter on the return line. Now your new.

I'll probably install a new power steering pump as my old one is shot (numerous leaks) and I don't like to deal with problems a second time.

I'm planning all new steering rack, outer tie rods, power steering pump and even a new steering column with MOMO steering wheel. This will be similar to my 5 lug '03 Terminator brake swap out.
