Street / DOT legal Slicks

Now that I finished the mods in my sig., I can't hook up to save my life at the track. Who knows the best size / make of a DOT slick for my 17 x 8 Rims? I am being told that I can squeeze 275's on the rim, but I am having a tough time swallowing that..

I dont know about DOT legal slicks, but Im planning on getting some Nitto 275 dr's soon. Ill be putting them on my stock rims.

i put 275's (BFG D/R) on stock bullitt wheels, bulged a bit, but fit. I hear MT ET Streets are coming in 17" now.
