others may disagree but for most street driven cars you will hate LT headers every time you go over a speed bump, need to work on the starter, clutch, transmission, etc. Yes, they make more power. WIll most guys notice the 15-20 hp difference? No

And that's the other reason. Been down that road. Since this car hasn't been driven regularly in 4years and the trans is a ? I don't want to be messing around with long tubes.

Do you have a tire depth gauge? I'm pretty sure those are toast.

They are like 4/32-5/32 all the way around but the tire pictured is separated (Bulging in that one spot and tore at the cracks). They all were real dry and cracking.

Today,

I limped it to the tire shop on the spare tire that has never been on the ground. I had to put 50psi in the spare before I could put it on the car. Got the new tires on there and drove home. Felt like a totally different car, man what a difference. I got ballsy on my was home and gave it 3/4 throttle, it shifted into 2nd around 5k and chirped the tires. This thing shifts like its pissed, shifts hard, shifts fast.

Before all this I limped it around the block to make sure I wasn't going to have any issues, everything went fine. When I started it to head to the shop I kinda got a surging idle and a check engine light. Within a mile it was running fine and the check engine light was off. Leaving the shop after a test drive it did it again and again within a mile it was fine and running great. Any clue here?

Holler back at us even if codes are clear.

Pick up a new IAC gasket and a couple cans of engine cleaner.
Read up on how to properly clean a Mass Air Flow sensor or:

I thought that one was pretty straight forward.

It may also be time for new O2 sensors (codes should tell on this piece).

Ordered TPS & IAC from RockAuto. Found two broken vacuum lines (1 back of the intake, 1 smog pump) and something let loose inside my passenger side FlowMaster so I ordered two of those also.

I'm throwing codes 84, 10, 66, from my code reader.

84: EGR vacuum regulator circuit failure
10: no clue its not a code in the book
66: VAF/MAF sensor fault, below minimum voltage

Going to dork around with this today and see what I can get done.

Are you calling me a dork?
@jrichker can give us the electrical values for testing maf and egr circuits, but I would say to clean both using the appropriate cleaners and check for good connections.

LOL Not at all my friend!

After dorking around with the MAF and some vacuum lines I got a nice and steady 900rpm idle with no codes.

I took some videos for you guys so you could hear my awesome, rattling, NoFlowMaster but I can't figure out how to get them on the CPU to post them. Stupid technology

Yeah man... keep an eye out for more vacuum hoses too. Nice find and we should have thought of that.
