So, got stuff today. My son took a picture of my bald head with the donor car. This view always gets the chicks, hot, huh? Notice how I have my left pinky out while taking out those pesky fender liner screws? it's because manners are important to me, right?

Those lower bolts on the front bumper were in the dirt, I mean this car has settled over the years and those lower bolts were literally in the dirt. I dug little trenches so I could get a 1/4" ratchet underneath to remove the bolts. I swear....I'm my own hero. Wait....I want to sing now, "......
So, a front bumper, right fender and a deck lid from another coupe

Beautiful, huh? Tomorrow? The blasters! BTW! I will get the fender liners from this car. They are both in choice condition. Little clean up and some tlc and they'll look like new!

I about finished the bodywork on the left fender today, I'll probably reprimer it tomorrow. I'll get the door reseamsealed too. Maybe still a paint date for the new door on Friday! Kona blue baby!

I'm going to take home Robby's hood next week, and a donor rear bumper.

I'm still not getting it.....Why are you buying a car that is so rusty again?

I mean, if the sheet metal is this bad, how are the floors?

So, just a text update today.

The new gas tank finally got here, no pictures, I was too lazy to open the box:sleep:.

I finished the bodywork on the fender today and will give it a good primering in the morning. The top is nice and straight now.

I got the door blocked out, it's just beautiful! Tomorrow morning, I've decided, I'm going to give it two more coats of primer on the outside. I will block that out with 600 grit, this way it won't get a coat of sealer and make the paint job even smoother. I will seam seal the door as soon as the primer is done baking. This means no paint till Monday.

I'm dying to see how it looks with the Kona blue though.

Almost forgot, I dropped off the decklid and right fender with the media blasters today. They'll be ready for me next Monday. I've got a feeling that decklid may need some serious attention. Not big dents, just a bunch of small ones/waves to deal with.

I didn't tear down the bumper today, just not enough time with that pesky customer work to do.

But I know y'all need a picture so, here:

You know what? I realized that picture of the fender is of before I did the bodywork! Oh DUHHH!. So if it seems a little wavy still, sorry about that. I guess I didn't take a picture earlier.

If I only had a brain:scratch:

Ooooooohhhh boy! Did I get a bunch of stuff yesterday! But more importantly, it's Saturday morning, this picture first

So, three big boxes! The first two are my new seat cushions for Robby, gotta keep the cheeks cozy you know.

The third one has so many things in it that you'll just have to go back to the link of the list I posted earlier.

The fourth was the gas tank I mentioned earlier, it's such a purdy thang! If I had money left over I might have it hydro dipped with the My Little Pony picture from earlier, but I've spent too much already, so no MLP.

Side note on that pony crap, my older daughter loved those little fckin' things twenty or so years ago. Did you know there are supposed men out there that have a "club" called "My Little Brony"? I'm not shtting you here, google it.

Sad to say it, but nothing really surprises me these days in the world we live in. What concerns me is, how did you know this?

Kona blue, as in the blue of the water off the Kona coast of the big Island. The water is really beautiful. You should come see it Dave....and when we are done looking at the water I can show you this cool paint booth they rent out over here ;)
You mean come to Hawaii with all of that extra money that I have left over after my blue car, right?:ack:
