Nick's "lvndpst" Restoration (and Slight Modification) Thread

In my area there are a few places around- mainly Cool Cars and Pro Tint. That's there main business is rims/tire's and of course-window tint lol. I'm not sure how regional they are,but I'd guess there's a wheel shop everywhere. I've had them re drill wheels and do things similar you are talking about having done , with the tire's still on,though if needed, they could take them off lol. Might be worth looking around for your version of cool cars before you decide

No such luck. We have one wheel repair facility in town, and they outsource machining to their Minneapolis, MN location. Says there isnt enough demand in Cedar Rapids, IA to pay for a lathe, lol. I'll probably just stick with what I found and bute the bullet. I wont be able to buy custom wheels for a couple years or more, so I may as well make myself happy with what I have. What's $250 anyway?

The rear is perfectly flush with the fender. Even after I take off what I am going to, I think the front will still stick out a touch. I may try selling the tires while they are off and buying a slightly smaller size to help it suck in.

Front and rear wheels are different offsets. For giggles I tried putting the rears on the front, and they stuck out about 2+ inches, lol. My 2011 had the same track front and rear, and ran the same 20x10's all around. I loved it.

This is the best pic I have to show it. Its not horrible, just enough to bother me.

And now that the car is lowered, its more noticeable being the fenders are down closer to the tires. This was stock ride height.

I acquired some used MAC mufflers. The gentleman I bought them from threw in some unused dumps as well. I have read where MACs sound similar to Flows, but with less drone. Kinda hard to get a good idea from youtube, but for the price I paid I decided to give them a whirl even though they are not my top choice. I did find a couple vids where they sounded good tho.

I will not be running the dumps, so if any one of you guys wants them you know where to find me. I know they are popular with the masses here!

This Saturday I will reweld my H pipe ends on and fit the mufflers to the car.

I also had that same issue with my 90 GT. If you go through your checklist and seem to fix most of it, and kinda of anal like I am, and want it close to perfect. This plate that goes between the IAC and intake sure helped me.

Good news! Its free shipping on orders over $35, so I just sucked it up and bought it for $46.91. Only $17 difference, whew. Keep it under a wasted $20 bill and I can live with myself. Since it was on sale, but not as good of a sale as last week, the 6% discount couldnt be applied. Damn red tape anyway.
