Oil pressure too high means oil is too thick ?

Nice looking fox Pete ! Don’t see too many stock engines anymore ( mine is stock as well ) you are not alone with wives not liking , lol - most don’t appreciate the workings of a fine machine - speaking of which , what are you guys predictions on women owning a fox and turning a wrench - what percentage of owners are women ? My guess is 5% ( 4% because their daddy gave it to them and 1% because they are an awesome chick , lol )

Again, don't trust the dipstick at all. Next time, let it drain really really well, put 5 quarts in, make sure you run it to fill the filter up, then mark the dipstick yourself.
I've told people this till I'm sick of saying it. Good explanation!
I'm 53. Also love this forum especially now days. I don't seem to enjoy the general public any longer because most of them wall around brain dead. Drives me crazy. There's some pretty smart folks on here. Excellent conversations!

Never met one who owned a fox and turned their own wrench. lol

I want my motor super clean so I change it every 6 months . I cant imagine that it can be changed too much. Its perfect inside . but Im freaked out about the main bearings and lifters. The original owner changed it alot also. Castrol GTX 5-30 , Motorcraft filter......55 yrs old with wife and 21 yr. old daughter. Neither understand the Mustang thing . Wife wont even get in it . She holds on and complains about her neck
Funny to hear that about your wife.
I had a similar experience, a few years ago we took the Mustang to my daughters softball game.
Had another father there who brought his Camaro, after the game he was egging me on to get on it well I did through two gears spinning rubber
down the street. Got punched in the arm by my wife and was told I was embarrassing her...lol she hasn't gotten in it since !
By the way 50 yrs. old, 1 in college, 1 in grad school, dog, house etc. some really cool and helpful people on this site happy I found it.

I inherited some good money. Spending about $120,00 for private college . Spent about $3,500 on the fox. Then shut off. All i need is some heads . Do you think I could get some heads. On a side note . I took care of my senile dad for 4 years. She never helped , just let me have it. Shes a book keeper and filed all the money away. Thats marriage 30 yrs worth. I will say this ,at 55 years we have had pretty good economy, and good lives. Thats why we have Foxes. And glad my oil is not thick!!!

I run rotella in everything I own including my bikes and have never had an issue.. Do what they suggested with filling with 5 quarts when doing a change and put your own mark on the dipstick to go by.... also I'm 40/M/6'1/230/12" and enjoy long walks in home depot

Don't think I could have said it better myself.

Turning 45 this month. Been around Foxbodies most of my life, though not always Mustangs. Love me some T-Birds too.

A group of us were at the Iola Old car show this summer (look it up if you haven't heard of it). We were escorting Gene Winfield around while he was buying parts. We were in two golf carts and some kid (early 20s I guess) stepped right between us and stopped. Completely blank stare on his face. All I could say is "Zombies". Crazy how people are getting.

Anyways, there's my worthless contribution.:)

How bout we change the title of the thread to As the World Turns, since it stopped being about oil pressure and viscosity?

Oh, and 61/6'/185 2 good cats, ( "Reggen of 9" named after some Star Trek character; and "Larry Lankford", named after Birmingham's corrupt formally incarcerated, and now dead mayor) 1 ancient bad, hag Raven skeleton cat missing all the hair on one side of her body, one large neurotic dog, one small ancient one. Two boys, one daughter, married, 34 years. One fox, one jag, one BMW and a 3 car garage.

Life's been good to me.
