MAF sensor after cleaning. One of the sensors is black on one side. Not sure if that's normal but car doesn't throw codes.

Ran out of time today so I didn't drive it. I'll do that tomorrow. Also get to install more new and dyed interior pieces.

I'll give an update tomorrow. A big thanks to everyone who is helping me troubleshoot.

Took the car for a cruise and it runs great! No more leaning out and sputtering. My guess is the injectors. It idles smoother now too. Went to the gas station and put in some octane boost just for kicks. My first time in a public place and as you know it, conversation starter.

Next on the list:
Cobra booster.
Door internal assessment.
Exterior trim painting.

Car is super fun to drive! I'll keep posting progress as I go.

Dash is almost done.

Thanks man. Appreciate all the help too. I'm just glad to own one of these beauties.

Found this old pic of my buddy in his 90 LX. This was taken in 1999 or 2000. It had 3.73 gears, short throw shifter, under drive pulleys, 1.7 rockers, CAI, and a 150 wet shot. Super fun running the streets with this thing...especially on drag radials. Ah, the good old days.

Back then, you needed 4 extra gauges and a monster tac...lol.

I don't know why they didn't kill us or call the cops. We deserved it.

Funny story...my other friend around the corner had an 84 Chevy longbed pickup that he just dropped a new engine in...it was a built 350 with an aggressive cam. Well, he decided to break in the engine/cam at 2 am. Neighbors were not impressed. Man we were dumb asses.

That truck was crazy. High 11's in the 1/4 mile on a 350 small block. 350hp 2-stage shot of nitrous too. It was around 850 HP.

Man we had some good times.

A friends parents house was on a street with a slight uphill climb, perfect for burnouts..
We would take the spare tires from our parents cars ( this is when you had real spare tires on real wheels) put them on the rear of our cars and do burnouts in front of his house.. ........

Oh man, that's next level! I can only imagine their faces if/when they ever needed to use them. That's awesome...lol.

Well, I found a Uhaul 3 pin and 6 pin trailer harness laying in the trunk that was all wired into the tail lights...WTF? Got that removed and am cleaning up the trunk area. Hatch brake lights didn't work (dirty light socket on one and the other had the bulb installed backwards). Also noticed turn signals wouldn't work in ACC ignition mode. Turns out they were all LED. Replaced the rears with incandescent bulbs and flasher now works properly. I'll snap some pics this weekend.

Little more progress today. Pulled trunk panels and got the wiring cleaned up and the rear hatch light working. Here is a pic of that uhaul wire harness. Why the hell would a person have this on a mustang?

Anyway, I installed the carpet on the rear seat backs. I need to find some OEM hardware for the driver's side bracket so it is proper. A couple of panels need to be dyed again but that is for another day. It's cleaning up pretty good. Nowhere near perfect but it's steadily improving. Going to drive it around tomorrow.
