yeaaaa, im gonna stud the head, and run a better head gasket, chip from big R recommended this so, ill get on that and find myself a set of arp studs and nuts.Is the head studded and you may want to ask if there is a better head gasket to run than what you had on there. Man you smoked that gasket.

Yep, i just got done with my local machine shop, they recommend a cometic gasket also, there gonna deck my head super smoothe and i got a straight edge for my block im borrowing, they said if i cant fit the smallest guage under it its good to go... So, cometic it it is! Anyone have a gasket measument?Ask him. Tell him it's a Cometic gasket. Read up on surface prep before you commit.

Word of caution: Your internals are likely to 'give it up' before the gasket does.

ALSO! what do you recomend for head studs? any modifications i need to make to the head? or the block?
will do!No mods are necessary that I'm aware of. ARP studs, hands down. Make sure you get their "torque juice" too.
ok! stock replacement fel pro head gasket is 0.048" witha bore of 3.93" converted to mm thats about 99.82mm. im assuming ill need the .051"( 3 layers) or the .060" ( 5 layers) id have to get the head gasket with a 100mm bore becasue my other option is 97 wich is too small for my block depending on how much they take off this (to my knowledge would be the second time the this head has been shaved) ill have to get either the .51" or the .60" those are my only optionsI will guess tho, that since you're getting the heads milled, it might be thicker than it would be on unmilled parts?
Ask the machinist how much he takes off when he's done and add that number to the regular thickness.
Got an update for you guys on my plan for a head gasket. I'm gonna stick with the felpro 8993, id much rather my gasket blow than my motor, and the reason it blew was my own mistake. So I don't see why I should change to something that will last longer than my rods and block
