I have Aeromotive -10 units in this with the stainless mesh USA filters in them . I figure the 40 post maybe the pump has to work a little less . Maybe it’s negligible but I did it .I just did this myself, my 10 micron was filthy, and took alot more effort to blow through than I was comfortable with. I ended up ordering a Summit labeled 40 micron unit to replace the entire filter housing, because they wouldn't have the 10 micron replacement element till at least 8/4.
So,..100 micron pre, 40 mic post for me too.
Only mine is considerably more cheesebagly than yours I'm gonna venture to say.
You're such an innovator...First its buy a 2 is. Then its put a 40 micron filter after your 100 micron filter..you're like The car Dali LLama.I have Aeromotive -10 units in this with the stainless mesh USA filters in them . Sarcasm I like it . I was just saying I did what you had said you did too and replying with the filters I I had used . I had the same issue and I wasn’t comfortable with how much effort it took to get through the 10m . Just some Conversation .You're such an innovator...First its buy a 2 is. In reality I’m combating a heat issue after long driving I figured maybe it was the pump having to work harder and making it worse . The reality is it’s most likely my s h i t regulator placement is too close to the header and that’s where it’s picking up the heat .
Got some more done last night waiting on a few new 90s , a 150 and 180 fitting to come . Moved the regulator out of the direct heat over the header to behind the strut tower .
I love looking at your pictures..all of the clean, new, not rusted, non-hackery makes my eyes do this:This thing is LOUD !
I wish I thought it was as clean as you do ! Thanks pal !I love looking at your pictures..all of the clean, new, not rusted, non-hackery makes my eyes do this:
Thanks man !It is nice. I also can get into the cleanliness of that bay. Easy top three on Stangnet .
Finally got the 8inch / 6inch asp pulley on to get the water pump back up to speed . Got the contour alternator pulley on . The belt and the tension was a huge issue with the ps relocation on Vortech cars and now even more with the odd pulleys . 83.5Inch belt is way to tight 84Inch was too loose .
The alternator is now adjustable and the 84inch belt works .

Looks like someone likes working on their car more than driving it. That's where I've found myself. It is nice. I also can get into the cleanliness of that bay. Easy top three on Stangnet .
I’ve been busier then work with anything else . From feb to June 1 I probably drove the car close to 2500 miles . Maybe more .Looks like someone likes working on their car more than driving it. That's where I've found myself.
After every few outings I wipe everything down in there. Having everything Powder-coated makes it easier to stay on top of .
From February to june1 I definitely drove my car close to......zero miles. Maybe less.I’ve been busier then work with anything else . From feb to June 1 I probably drove the car close to 2500 miles . Maybe more .

For real I feel like i have to mention how much I drive this car because there’s a stigma that people don’t keep them as nice as I try to and actually drive them .

There’s a stigma that people don’t drive their mustangs as many miles as i do when they try to keep the engine compartment or car as clean as I try too .Wait.........whut..........?
Lol, I know Jeff. I was referring to my ineptitude of ever having a running driving mustang. There’s a stigma that people don’t drive their mustangs as many miles as i do when they try to keep the engine compartment or car as clean as I try too .
Drove the car like 85 miles Saturday night . The belt stretch is perfect now . The new tensioner bracket seems to work perfect . All the bolts are still in place . Seems like a win . The belt isn’t guitar string tight like it was before the way I had it . Seems like a win
