Been quiet lately . I have had the car out snd enjoyed it a bit . Still waiting on dual sync distributor from Holley it’s on back order with everything else . Just put 12/300 springs in it so instead of the 250s so it takes the roads here a bit better . I still think it needs Vikings to really control the strut better . The car drives so much more planted though and it still feels like it will transfer the weight when it needs too .

Also got the race car done with the new 417w in it - 337 is on the stand going in my buddies street car . This 417 is 11:1 compression on m1 with the procharger

Got my buddies 408w 85 buttoned up and sitting on the ground for the first time in 4 years .Full mm suspension car setup for road course days

Those are 87-89 panels.

Depending on where they are sourced, the top armrest panel will have either a tweed material like the GT sport seats, or a material that matches the 4-cyl base seats. On the 87-90 panels, that section can actually be removed to recover to match your seats. 91-93 door panels, that part is part of the door and usually vinyl.

Working on the interior today . Realized my driver armrest is the wrong grey . Called my buddy who I got the panels from and I’m getting the arm rests this week . Driver is ok . I ordered the new window switch plates as well to finish it off .

Driver side is still apart . Put a new lock motor in it finally . Waiting on a drivers side inner door handle because this one the pin has already rolled out of once so I’d rather replace it . Also waiting on new run channel weather strip because do it twice Jeff cut the last one too short so if you roll the window down sometimes it leaves the track and you have to grab the window before you start to roll it up to make sure it pops in . I may cheat and just cut off one of the new ones what this one lacks and slide it in . I think that will fix it and alievate the mess of pulling and re installing again .

Next is to re do my chipping 1/4 plastics tbat I painted years ago . Over time they have gotten beat up despite my prep work so I will give it another shot . The black is still perfect it’s all the grey . I also have grey missing coat hooks to install. That should bring my neglected interior back up to speed .

Passenger side pics showing the little issues on the old panel and the new one all in .

Looking good man. I dunno if it’ll help you, but when I spray bombed my console and door panels-I used a fair amount of flex additive, paint and then a plastic compliant clear coat

These were in real rough shape when I. Got them and all one color , I’m going to sand them all down again . Try the adhesion promoter stuff and make sure they are super clean before I spray this time and see where I’m at .

Being on an interior kick - I ordered another can of the paint to re do the 1/4 plastics . Ordered the seat belt plastics that have basically disintegrated. Plastic covers for the door panel armrest because one is broke on the pass side . New rear view mirror because mine is de laminating within itself . Once the plastics are painted and this stuff is done the interior is just about up to speed for me .

I've been down that road. The investment is well worth it. Just be aware that you start to notice more and more details that honestly are fairly minor -a scratch on the instrument bezel lenses, a bubble on the headliner. It never ends.

More boring interior stuff - when I was 17 I hated the way the map light looked I was going to cover it in my first mustang . I never did and I kept it all these years . So when I went from red to grey with the black carpet and head liner I pulled this out and installed it but it never worked . A little wiser and knowing a bit more about things and here we are .

Couplers and clamps have arrived , distributor is here finally . Waiting on the ic still.

Still dealing with the car running warmer in warm weather . Mid 80s yesterday maybe high 80 . Drove the car all day . Lot of stop and go . Creeped to 205 at one point . Hovered 196-200 unless you really got some good time where it was cruising then it would come back down . I don’t know what else at this point . Only thing I’m missing is the little flaps that cover the sides of the rad to the core support to block the air around it . The lower air deflector is there .
