rear is new built with 3.55 with new bushings In carrier and heims on the other with mega bite jr down low and it is tight the torque boxes deff made a difference .... ignore me running on today I am at work on 25 min of sleepDid you change the rear or did the torque boxes make it feel tight? Ya that clutch probably is either ON or OFF.

Car looks really good man, and I bet that clutch is nuts.
I'm getting ready to swap in a new rear end in a few weeks. How long did it take you to drop the rear end? Any tips, tricks? Did you lower it to the ground just on the floor jack? Did you raise the new rear end back up in place using a floor jack?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get any hints I can before I get started.

Thank you for watching !!! and I built if myself with a friend , welding and all ,pics are in here a bunch of posts up, I am a diesel mechanic by day so most of this stuff is not too intimidating all though I was a little skeptical on doing it as its not my specialty but my buddy is real good with it so we built it in his garageDid you build the rearend yourself or did you have a shop build it? I'll be getting my rearend built soon. I'm scared to do the gear install myself because I just haven't done it before. I also wish i could weld because I'll be getting all this same stuff done to mine. Nice build. I've been watching it since you started this thread.

Ok for the rear it's pretty straight forward , I recommend soaking the control arm bolts before attempting to take it out ESP if they have never been out , I had the ass up rear hanging on jack stands .
My suggestion - I should've done this it would've saved time . drain rear and remove the axles while in the car remove backing plates with all the brake hardware attached and hang them in the car with the brake line this way when you put your new rear or rebuilt rear in you do not have to waist time putting the back brakes back together.
I supported with a jack and stands when removing . i got everything ready to come out and had a friend help me lift the stands out then I lowered the jack and slid it out and rolled it off the jack . One of my pics shows it on the floor neigh after I rolled it off the jack . Anything else just ask man !
Thanks for the help man! I'll be doing it by myself so any tips I can get to make my life a bit easier will work for me. I'll try removing the axles (which I was going to do anyways so I could use the best axles I have), the backing plates and then just hanging everything while I swap out the rear ends.
What did you use to hang the brakes and brake lines? I'm guessing you hung each side maybe from something in the rear wheel well?
I have been watching it !!My rearend is the only part of my drivetrain that isn't brand new so i'm not feeling adventurous enough to try it for the first time now. I'll let the pros do it this time. I started a build thread titled "My first notch build." So far it just consist of pics of how the car sits now and ALL the beautiful brand new parts.
