Just in case i haven't said it already....

You are the perfect example of what can be done when you apply yourself w/ regard to the hobby. To be willing to take on just about anything, and then do it at your age is deserving of a pat on the back and a "great job" from me.

You and Collin. (@hoopty5.0 )...proving to me that the hobby isn't wasted on youth, and that there are still young guys that can "do" rather than "pay" to get the job done.

So in doing some research on my fuel issue , not only am I in the club of winning a best in show with @RacEoHolic330 but we're also in the club of super heating fuel on hot days .

Aeromotive hides nothing about this being a possible issue . In fact on there page they describe it to the T . One of the causes - fuel system design . Well I used there design layout in the directions that came with the kit .

Next cause - tank vent . Well it's there and working because Sat when I got the car home there wasn't an abundance of pressure when I opened the cap . I thought that could've been an issue .

Next answer - needing a fuel pump controller . Reasoning being the PWM will slow the pump down ( say 2100 rpm ) where I was cruising for an hour straight . Without it the pump is running full tilt all the time . Combine that with the heat from the rails and the heat generated trying to return all that fuel back at once through the pump hat . This probably causes a restriction a well basically at the hat and vaporizing the fuel because it's so damn hot hence the air ration of the pump and the loss of fuel flow completely because now the pump is not being lubricated .

I'm just hoping the pump is ok . This is the first time it's ever happened .

Is your pump external? Or do you still have an in tank pump?
It's the full stealth system . So the tank is baffled like an 03 . The pump bolts in the top and is submerged in fuel all the time .

Is it a multiple pump set up, or a single 340? How many lph are we looking at?

I had a buddy that went with a mulit pump setup a few years back and his return line was too small. It boiled his fuel and gave him fits (in traffic). Installed a big return line and no more worries.
It's an a1000 . I'm thinking maybe I can up the return line size over the winter . This was all done with there whole kit though . Its everything they spec . I emailed tech today waiting on a reply .

Wow man, that's a boat load of fuel pump. No wonder it's boiling off. You planning on upping your output 300 hp or something?

I wanted to be over kill for when the car ends up with the ysi . Everything I read was this kit was designed for a street car .

Congrats on the show win, Jeff. That's awesome.

I'm surprised you had problems with the pump cavitation, given the tank baffles. I barely made it to a gas station one time I let it get so low, and I still wasn't having issues like that.
