Lol so should I put everything back together ? There all pretty shakey but torqued right, lifters and pushrods are the same as original pushrods are tightAre you a where that your lifters will pump up when the car gets running.

Yeah I heard it on the left side and took the valve cover off and one rocker arm Had a lot of play ,most them felt alright except for a few that had a little play , now they all have play except for the ones with raised up lifters.Just to circle back around to the original problem. You took everything apart because you had valve train clatter, correct? Is this a hydraulic roller cam or a hydraulic/solid flat tappet 5.0/302 motor? Was the engine running fine, then developed a problem, or like that when you got it? Unless parts were severely worn, then removing and replacing parts of the same dimensions isn't going to fix anything. I suspect your original problem was/is oil pressure, or cam related. Please answer the above questions, so we can narrow in on your original problem. I'd hate to see you throwing away your money and not fix anything.
Im not sure the can I think whatever stock is, the engine was running fine I would have a check engine light come on sometimes, but I drove to the store was driving fine got back in the car i started it up and there was a loud clatter coming from passenger valve cover. Oil pump was not what I wanted to hear lol :/Just to circle back around to the original problem. You took everything apart because you had valve train clatter, correct? Am I blind I don't see it? Is there away to prime it with only the heads on the blockIn the link I posted about valve adjustment, it shows how to prime the engine?
Again, it's important to know what the oil pressure was/is.
Yes you use a drill with an extension and 1/4" socket to turn the oil pump by inserting it in the distributor hole. You'll have to remove the distributor if you haven't already of course. Also make sure you tape everything together really good so it doesn't come apart and fall down in your engine.Am I blind I don't see it? Is there away to prime it with only the heads on the block
Okay how much do I turn it , I will try this in a few hours and give an update, I got hope lol . Really don't wanna pull the engine for an oil pumpYes you use a drill with an extension and 1/4" socket to turn the oil pump by inserting it in the distributor hole. You have a 5.0 so you're gonna need the smaller socket, make sure your drill can spin over 600 rpms and tape up the socket and adapters.
Oh, and a mechanical oil pressure gauge.
Never mind dumb question lolOkay I just pulled the distributor I see what I gotta do with the drill , imma have to run to the store pick up an oil pressure gauge . I'll keep y'all updated I appreciate the help, imma look up how you use on of those gauges , you can use it with no intake ? I noticed in the video he had his intake on
Run it until you see oil coming out of all the push rods and lubing the rockers.Okay how much do I turn it , I will try this in a few hours and give an update, I got hope lol . Really don't wanna pull the engine for an oil pump
The dumb question is the one not asked.
