Contour fans in . Little quieter then I expected but they were cycling on and off car running 170 degrees in the driveway before.still have to mount the over flow in .

Used my black magic extreme fan controller basically as a switch to trigger a Leash 75 amp relay . Powered the relay with 4 ga wire and 100 amp breaker for protection . All seems well .

Looks great Jeff... I'm real happy you got the contour fans to cool down you car. I feel like a dumbass that no matter what I did, I couldnt get mine to keep the car cool. Mine were off a 1999 2.5 Cougar which I am told are the same fan. What I read on the Corral was the FAL controller turns them on at 60% and a toggle switch is required to ahve them operate at 100%? .My last mustang I trimmed down a MkVII fan and moved the radiator forwad to fit.

I thought you were running an 8 rib setup?

It's an 8 rib with a gator back belt on it . Maybe the pic is throwing it off .

So by using the black magic controller there is no soft start its all on or off and that's it . That's why I used this leash 75amp heavy relay and the 4ga wire to power it with the breaker . I let it idle for a few in my driveway sure it would've crept right up . Weather is shoddy so I'm gonna drive it tomorrow .

All my reading outside of the mark 8 being the big cheese of them all the contour and ram Chargers were pretty close cfm wise . Maybe it was just that controller not letting them get full amperage . What sold me was the stroker small block nova with the procharger f1r that couldn't get his car to stay cool at all until he put these fans on.

The FAL is soft touch and starts the fans at 60% and then up to 100% I believe when the temp gets to 10 over the setting. At least that's hat I remember? Again, I seem to be the only guy on the planet that had bad luck with them. Your car looks killer man.

Thanks bro . I'll report back once I get some street time with them . Still need to mount the over flow . For now it's capped off

Alright man, here's the deal. Your engine bay looked so nice that I didn't even notice wether it had been smoothed or not! Your doing a really fine job with your car brother.

@mikestang63 @hoopty5.0 14-15 minutes sitting completely still at idle in a parking lot and it was 180 degrees up until the last 3 mins and it went to 184 and just hung out there . Just shut it to let it heat soak some and start it to see how it recovers

I should add it's 78-80 degrees not super humid today but warm ish out

IMade a temp degas bottle. Lol

I have the exact combo on my car Jeff. Mishimoto rad, contour fans. Works great.
