If your using a standalone like the Holley why use an MSD box? Can't the Holley trigger the coil on it's own? You should be able to control dwell, and multispark from the Holley....

Edit: I suppose you do need an ignitor if not using the tfi, never mind carry on.

Yeah this is all up in the top of the fender . 30 amp relay just just taking the place of the oem solinoid to trigger the sol on the mini starter now .

Going to a dual sync now . I had the tfi on it with the ability to bypass the msd if needed .

Keeping the distributor with single coil or are you going cop? As cheap as ls coils are and the Holley can do sequential ignition go cop....
I believe they make a blank cap with no towers on it for this purpose....

Then again I like to complicate things.

Pick up a couple of these as you have the time and think of it:

It's just a distribution bus. They come in Red or Black (of course) and you don't have to rewire the car or tear it apart to add them. Some dielectric grease and *poof*.

I must confess I have a problem with these things. I put them on everything. LoL

I keep meaning to get one of those 'shrink tube labelers' too. It's on the list.

I have the same problem...

The good wrap-around labels are weather-proof these days, but you still need the print tool... those sleeves are uber expensive

To my knowledge the car has never had a rack done in it . So yesterday I go to put the rack in and new steering shaft. I can’t get the splines to slide on only to realize the splines look like . Tried to clean them up with a wire brush to no avail .

Needs a driver side tie rod anyway. So I ordered a new 2.5 turn rack for it . After getting frustrated with the wiring in the fender I finally decided to ditch the stupid ford relay and just put a junction there . Use a 30 amp relay to trigger the sol on the starter and be done with it . Got the msd box mounted to the Scott rod panel as well

Still have to zip tie all the wiring neat and arrange it all . It’s just kind of up there to make sure it all fits . Test fitted the fender liner too and were all good there. The 2/0 wire I used should handle whatever I throw in the car . I have it fed through the fire wall where the cruise crontrol stuff used to come through the grommet . I like the idea of the power cable in the car rather then under it .

Spoke to my engine builder Tuesday . Heads are on and he was checking pushrods and it turns out I needed .200 longer pushrods . No big deal . So we should be on for Saturday to pick it up .

Totally doing this to my car. I don't know why I didn't think about ditching the starter solenoid for a simple 30amp relay. I have plenty of those laying around thats for sure. I was already looking for at getting a junction block, since the stud on the solenoid isn't very long anyways by the time you have the battery, starter, and alternator cables attached.

Yeah I did the COP on the blue car I’m doing . I’d rather keep it simple . Hell im even reluctant to put the dual sync in as it is on my car . That dual sync that’s brand new in his car is mine . We put just the cam sync deal that msd is making in it . So it isn’t even a blank cap . Looks like the 64 bit tuning one
