Cool little cruise night - too hot so cars were limited but I’m told it gets really good
Quick update on my dads car for anyone who cares lol -
I have had it to the track . It went 13.53 at 103 in the heat with the 400 flaring high gear terribly and a stock converter the size of a spare tire .
I have since swapped a friends built spare 400 in it - another buddies 2800 converter took slightly more jet out . In nice air the thing will bark every gear wide open in drive . It runs like a diff car hoping to go low 13s maybe touch a 12

So for the summer I have legit just driven my mustang that’s it . Some hard boost pulls , some rides to work . Still loving it .
Right now I am working on getting it ready for track rental on 30th . My trans has the same fluid for over 2 years since the trans went in . It’s very loosen. It acts like 3500 ish on the street driving and will flash to 5200 . The line temp has seen 228
Totally expected the fluid come brown ish with some scent . NOPE . Derale twin plate with fan doing it’s job

Have you ran it before? Whatcha' think it'll run?
@Monkeybutt2000
It’s been 10.86 at 128 with a 5 speed , no intercooler no meth in 2016.
Last pass in 18 the crank was pushing itself out of the engine and it went almost 134 out the back still with a stick.
With the meth and the auto, the light years better Cyl heads , ported Intake , 90mm TB and bigger cam I’d like to see almost 140 mph on pump gas .

Probably 1500 miles on this pump . Pissing out the weap hole like it was meant too . For the money I’m not a happy camper .
Cars already back together with a car quest one .

I was doing my fuel filters the other day I fired it and I’m looking at my fittings. I happened to glance up and I see a steady drip stream . Sure enough .Edelbrock pump? Those aren’t cheap to begin with.
Plus I have one
It’s been leaking a little bit too cuz only a gallon of water came out of the car . I am pissed about it
Lmr told me one year warranty from edelbrock . Best they could do was 6 percent code on my next order or toward a new pump . I kindly told him thank you the car is already together with a new pumpEdelbrock pump? Those aren’t cheap to begin with.

Well that is definitely dissapointing, nothing like installing new just to do it again...Probably 1500 miles on this pump . Pissing out the weap hole like it was meant too . For the money I’m not a happy camper .

Right ! I was likeThat trans fluid looks good enough to drink.....
Runs good for the lowest power it makes .
The difference is exhaust tone reminded me of the garbage bag commercial,
Mustang - HEFTY, HEFTY, HEFTY
Camaro - wimpy, wimpy, wimpy
Now that's just a take on exhaust note, not say'n that camaro can't hold it's own, can it?

Way back we messed around and Neck and neck only I was goosing the throttle from 45-65 percent .
I’m sure at this moment I could probably put 2 cars on it but make no mistake it’s silly
No doubt LS 7 even n/a are stout. I'm just partial to the Ford camp, most of the new stuff running around here are obnoxious loud turds with a kid behind the wheel (I, of course, was never like thatCamaro runs hard . Makes over 6 na . It’s a ls7 dry sump deal soon to have boost

Didn’t touch the tune . Put plugs in it . Tightened the blower belt .
Rear diff is going away it unlocks under any real power so I couldn’t leave off the brake . Buuuuuttttt - here we are in the same trim I took it to cruise night in aka a wheel swap . Foot brake at 2k and leave . I went 9s 2 more times within 1.8 mph later in the day of the first pass
