Winner!!

Gotta get that power steering return to an “AN” fitting…… you know….. just because!

Seriously though, looks awesome….. hard to believe you drive it as much as you do with how clean it is!

I tortured it . I had it running in my garage - it’s 91 degrees here. Hood closed for 40 minutes no fresh air flow . Hottest I saw was 207.

My fluke gun read 111 on the ceiling in the garage

So I opened the hood . Hood open 193-194

Took it for a ride . After I heat soaked it to death . Driving it had been running 2 hours at this point .

Idles like 196-198 . It will creep a touch if you’re not moving . But the minute you start moving again within 3 traffic lights it’s 186–192 and if you aren’t stop and go it hangs 185/186 again in 91 degree heat and heat soaked .

My mistake I made was I was brain dead and put 50/50 in it today . Need to drain that and put distilled back in it . It does help.

Pic 1 heavy stop and go . Pic 2 cruising for a short while .

The gauge does read slightly higher than the holley cts as well .

I hate driving it in this heat anyway . Anything over 85 and I’m like f this . So this was a great test .

Street car stuff .

May or may not have had a wide body hell cat try to come from behind me off a light and shoot past me at 10 mph roll in the right lane .
I saw his headlights shoot up , then All I saw was his nose and fender by my door by the time I clicked it into high gear he was a car and a half behind me LOL

Goals man. I ran a Hellcat from a stop and had almost a full car on him from the light until I put it into 3rd gear and then he just left me. I need to boost my car.

They are so impressive - but they are boats . Quick no doubt but they give a owner false sense of what’s really fast

So the blower belt and I have been doing some battle Since I reassembled the car with this combo like 6 years ago .

The front edge of the belt would show signs it was always pushing up on the edge of the pulleys and eating itself . But for years I was just cruising the car only over the last year or so have I really began to get on it and let it do it’s tning .

Well from time to time it would shred a belt up or roll a rib off . Last time I drove it I was messing around and right at the end I heard it loose the belt .

I pulled the crank pulley off etc to check for anything going on . Checked the acc belt side - all good which I figured because I never loose that belt .

What I did find is my Vortech 2.95 pulley lines up perfect . My grip tech does not . Talking to another friend he tells me he has to either shim or mill alsmot every hub he installs at work . Well here are . The blower pulley is .06 out from the crank because of the grip Tec hub .

First pic is with my old Vortech fire wheel

So it's just the pulley that is the problem? Are they different sizes for different boost levels or are there other differences? Can you not get the same thing in a Vortech pulley?
The hub is problem it’s a common issue apparently . Just has to be turned down .06

I like being able to quick swap pulleys and it looks way nicer than a stock Vortech .

Doesn’t matter what size I use with the grip tech it’s off the same Across every rib . Put a standard pulley on like the 2.95 I have and it’s perfect .
